Creating Quilts of Comfort and Compassion for Israel
Date: Sunday, April 22, 2012
Ladies, do you love to sew or quilt? Would you like to have a way to put that love into action to bless others? We are bringing back a great Sisterhood Mitzvah project from 2009: ”Creating Quilts of Comfort and Compassion for Israel.” Our quilts will be shipped to Israel in the IBF containers in the coming months. Meet with Angie in the foyer after service on Shabbat for more information.
Even if you do not know how to quilt but would like to learn we encourage you to join us. Bless those in Israel and get connected through Sisterhood. Such a deal! We believe they will bring comfort and will be a blessing to those that receive them.
When: Sunday, April 22
For More Information, call the CBM Office at 713-271-5757
We will begin working together to create quilts that will be sent to Israel in April or May through IBF (Israel Benevolence Fund). Sign-up will be limited to the first 25 ladies. We need at least 15 ladies who know how to sew and can bring their own sewing machine. We will also need five ladies to bring an iron and ironing board and assist with ironing the block pieces. Even if you do not know how to quilt but would like to learn, we encourage you to join us.
